There's a huge history of trickster gods and those who are amused by their antics. Even normally serious gods occasionally show a bit of that mischevious side.

Take Yahweh. I can understand how, a ritual involving SANE individuals can be considered "silly" by the Gods. We are mere mortals, afterall. I am just saying if the participant suffers from a severe mental illness (INSANE), it must therefore be considered "truly pathetic" by the Gods. Arent we supposed to be also be looking within too? How can one do the introspection required for the Path if we are internally riddled with undealt with issues?

My response may have also a knee-jerk reaction to my own feelings of absurdity and silliness. As a typically objective minded person, it is TRULY difficult to wade thru this sea of occult subjectiveness. One thing that I have to continually ask myself is, "Will this strange/funny/odd little detail in ritual inspire me to achieve the divine?" If the answer is "maybe" or "yes", I will at least try to get over the case of the giggles.PhoenixAngelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02628182447302904322noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3889529596531127755.post-57315835677450374892010-10-21T14:52:16.066-07:002010-10-21T14:52:16.066-07:00@Phoenix, I do not understand your comment.@Phoenix, I do not understand your comment.Roberthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10144040453666802786noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3889529596531127755.post-41346519194182158292010-10-21T13:01:34.096-07:002010-10-21T13:01:34.096-07:00add a pinch of severe mental illness to that potio...add a pinch of severe mental illness to that potion and you get, truly patheticPhoenixAngelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02628182447302904322noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3889529596531127755.post-63742571758966018872010-10-21T11:12:04.493-07:002010-10-21T11:12:04.493-07:00I think this is an important perspective to pop in...I think this is an important perspective to pop into from time to time, if for no other reason than to keep us grounded.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15009778570667265968noreply@blogger.com
